FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Absolutely, positively, without a doubt! We love to travel and experience new parts of the country and the world. If you’re not within our normal range (50 miles from Philadelphia), feel free to get in touch for a custom quote!

And if you're planning on getting married in another country, that's great too! We've brought our cameras all over the world, including the Dominican Republic, Iceland, Mexico, England, France, and South Africa. Just get in touch and we'll work out a custom quote that includes international travel.

  • We pour hours into editing, color correcting, color grading, and sound mixing your films, so rest assured that the final products will be of the highest quality.

But we understand you may want to see EVERY single shot we get. If so, then it's yours!

Once your final films are delivered, just shoot us a reminder and we’ll upload it to Google Drive for you to download.

  • Yes, of course! Part of crafting cinematic wedding films means including majestic and epic shots made possible only by shooting with a drone.

There is no extra charge for using the drone, but keep in mind that we can't guarantee that we will always be able to use it. Some things that prevent us from shooting with the drone include being too close to an airport (even a small, regional one), electromagnetic interference from nearby metal structures or radio transmitters, or good old-fashioned unsafe weather conditions.

When it comes to using a drone, safety is always our first priority, but rest assured, we're always excited to shoot with it, and we bust it out any chance we get!

  • Yes! We don't view cinematography versus photography as a competition, but rather as two sides of the same coin. At the end of the day, we're both trying to arrive at the same place: capturing your love and your story.

Secondly, we're all creative people, and we're at our best when we're working together and feeding off of each other's ideas. For us, communication with the photography team is key, and we work hard to ensure that we all get what we need and everyone comes away happy. (Especially you!)

  • That’s great news! Feel free to get in touch! We’ll schedule a FaceTime or Zoom call and go from there!

  • No two weddings are the same, nor are two wedding films. Typically, Wedding Films range between three and eight minutes, while our longer-form Documentary films can vary wildly. And your Teaser Film will be 60 seconds or less.

Your Wedding Film will be a creative edit telling the story of your love and your day. This is the film that will be uniquely you, and they are our favorites to create.

Your Documentary Film will be a more straightforward account of the events that transpired on your wedding day and include the ceremony in full, as well as the events of the reception (all the toasts and speeches given, special dances (Father-Daughter, Mother-Son, etc.), traditions like the garter and bouquet toss, cake cutting, and the like).

As a result, the Documentary Film can range anywhere from 20 minutes to two hours (or more!), depending on the lengths of your ceremony and reception.

  • Several factors can influence the turnaround time of your films, our current workload and the time of year being the most significant.

Generally, we like to keep our delivery date for every film to sixteen weeks or less, including both the Wedding Film and the Documentary Films.

You can expect to receive your Teaser Film within seven days of your wedding, so you can make everyone who wasn’t there jealous ASAP.

  • Absolutely! We pride ourselves on being Sony Alpha shooters (simply the best camera system out there, in our humble opinion) and our cameras are capable of capturing resolutions from full HD all the way up to 4K.

They also work incredibly well in low-light situations, which we run into on quite a regular basis while filming weddings!

  • Weddings are momentous occasions. Not only that, but there are no do-overs: you get one shot to get it right. Our experience has granted us the benefit of seeing just anything and everything you could possibly imagine at a wedding. As a result, we’re prepared for it all.

Additionally, the post-production process involved in creating cinematic wedding films is quite intensive and requires many hours of organizing, color correcting, color grading, editing, and sound mixing.

That being said, we believe that our prices are fair and proportionate to our quality of work. If we're out of your budget, feel free to get in touch with us and we'd be happy to give some recommendations on filmmakers who fall within your budgetary restraints!

  • Absolutely! Elopements are some of our favorite events to shoot as they allow us to operate at our most creative level and get up close and personal with the bride and groom. Full blown weddings are great, but sometimes getting all of the formalities out of the way (the decor, the flowers, the centerpieces, etc.) allows you to focus on the most important thing: your unique love. Elopements can be some of the most vulnerable, honest, and touching events to film.

We also love adventure, so we're always down to hike, boat, swim, climb, dive, or anything else required to reach that magical location for you to share your vows.

  • Lots of other wedding filmmaking companies charge more to have the owner shoot, but have no fear!

Melissa and/or Steve are present at 100 percent of our weddings!

  • Don’t take our word for it, have a look-see for yourself!

  • Steve had always had an interest in filmmaking ever since his Dad bought a Canon 5D Mark II and the DSLR video revolution began. From that point on, he spent time working on music videos, short films, and independent projects for friends and clients. Melissa had a background in production and was working for a high-profile television production company in Los Angeles.

After we got married, and were blown away by our wedding film (shot and edited by the great Brian Gaadt), we knew we wanted to combine our creative forces and help capture the stories of other couples.

Thus, The Neskes was born, and since then, we've had the pleasure of shooting over 200 weddings (and counting!).

  • What a strange question to ask, but why yes, we do! Their names are Chloe, Rupert, and London and they're our favorite four-legged friends! (We’re kind of obsessed.) No, we won’t bring them to your wedding, but they will almost definitely make an appearance during our FaceTime or Zoom calls!
